Inclusive development priority of Govt: Kichloo

KISHTWAR, June 7: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B MED, Housing, H&UDD, Tourism and Culture, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, who is on a visit to remote Padder tehsil of district Kishtwar today said that inclusive development is the priority of the Government and  development of this remote and backward region of the State will be ensured.
As the annual Machail Yatra is about to start, the Minister stressed for elaborate arrangements for the yatra and announced certain measures and development of yatra infrastructure for smooth conduct of  the Yatra. He said that the road from Gulabgarh Bridge and Taxi stand will be blacktopped before the onset of Yatra and street lights will be installed on both sides of the road. A face lift will be given to Gulabgarh and a welcome gate will be constructed. He also issued directions to JKPCC to speed up the construction of new Gulabgarh Bridge across river Chenab.
Kichloo also directed the concerned authorities to immediately construct a bridge at Sanyas village that comes on Yatra track. He informed that that a tourism project for Padder has been sanctioned which will boost the tourism potential of the region and help in infrastructural development of the region. New huts, Yatra Sarai and viewpoints will be constructed across the tehsil. The minister said that rural electrification is an important step for the development of villages and soon electricity will be provided to Sohal and Massu. All other left out habitations will be covered under phase II of RGGVY.
Besides, Kichloo also said that up gradation of schools and  water supply schemes, enhancing ration supply and improvement of road connectivity will be prioritized in the region.
