JAMMU, June 7: Kathua Police today arrested one absconder, Sudershan Kumar alias Banga, son of Suran Dass of Mearth tehsil and district Kathua from Rajasthan today who had fled from police custody on April 24 this year while being produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua.
He was involved in case FIR No 50/2013 U/S 457/380 RPC registered at Police Station Kathua. Soon after escape from police custody the Kathua Police launched a man hunt and also registered a case FIR No 122/2014, U/S 224 RPC P/S Kathua.
The authorities placed one Constable Babu Ram under suspension for dereliction of duty and constituted special teams to nab the absconder. The Police teams were sent to different states of country and today they succeeded to arrest him from Rajasthan.
