One killed, 8 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, July 9: One person died while as eight others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo JK02AB/8431 hit and injured a lady Jana, aged 60 years, wife of Mohammad Ismail Shaksaz resident of Pooli-Dooru at Bongund-Dooru, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag where she succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Yaqoob Gilkar, aged 65 years, son of Mohammad Sadiq resident of Mehman Mohalla, Dangerpora near Shrine of Reshi Sahib, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a girl Uzma Jan, aged 10 years daughter of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Manzgam at Rambhama-Kulgam. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kulgam for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Winger JK01Q/3517 hit a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK04A/6255 near Makai Point on the Boulevard Road. The mishap resulted in injuries to five passengers boarding the Tata Sumo. The injured were hospitalized. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tipper JK01L/7872 hit an Alto bearing registration number JK01R/2545 on National Highway Lalad-Sopore. The collision resulted in injuries to the Alto driver Fazli Ahmad Peer son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Drugmulla- Kupwara. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
