DODA, Mar 8: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest since the year 2023.
Sources informed that Doda Police arrested the absconder Mohd Yqoob, son of Sulman Bakerwal, resident of Abaie Gowan, Kathua.
He was involved in the case of complaint registered under U/S 323, 504 RPC at Police Staion Gandoh and arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC was issued by the Court of JMIC Gandoh against him.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a team with cops from Police Station Gandoh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh and the team was led by SHO Police Station Gandoh for the arrest of the absconder.
The Police team made hectic efforts and arrested the absconder from Mahanpur, district Kathua and produced him before the Court.
