JAMMU, June 9: Director General (Codes), AMM Jehangir from Finance Department has asked all the Government departments to furnish detail of their temporary/ daily wagers/ contractual/ casual labourers/ need based workers engaged after 1994.
Referring to the meeting of the June 3, 2014 and the Cabinet decision, he said it was observed that many departments have failed to provide details of all kind of temporary workers engaged in their respective departments. In all circumstances a final opportunity has been given to all the departments to furnish the lists of the employees engaged under these categories. The required information is needed to be provided on the prescribed format.
With regard to the demand of the employees’ unions for the regularisation of casual / temporary/ need based workers, engaged after 31-01-1994, the Cabinet Sub Committee headed by Finance Minister A R Rather, has to prepare an appropriate policy in this regard and all the departments shall submit the requisite details to the Finance Department by the end of June 2014. Serious notice shall be taken of the departments, which fail to do so, the DG Codes maintained.
