JAMMU, Mar 12: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan, today expressed strong dissatisfaction over what he called “irresponsible replies” to his questions raised during the Legislative Assembly’s question hour.
Speaking during the zero hour, Dr Bhushan criticized the response from RDD Minister Javed Ahmad Dar, who answered on behalf of Transport Minister Satish Sharma.
The MLA claimed he had raised specific questions regarding the discontinuation of bus services between Kathua and Pathankot and Kathua-Bambyal-Pathankot routes after the COVID pandemic and reasons for not resuming the services.
However, he claimed that the reply given was “vague” and “unrelated”, focusing instead on bus routes of Lohai Malhar and Machedi.
Dr Bhushan also raised concerns about a “vague reply” to his question about sanctioning of ISBT terminal in Kathua and issuance of a notification in this regard. He claimed that he was informed that the RTC had no proposal to issue a notification for the terminal, despite the Transport Department being responsible for such matters.
The BJP MLA voiced his frustration, saying that all three replies to his questions were “distorted” and demonstrated a “casual attitude” towards the concerns of elected representatives.
He expressed his strong resentment over the alleged casual approach and demanded that such incidents are avoided in future.
