JAMMU, Mar 17: A delegation of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference led by its president, Moti Lal Malla called on Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo here today.
The members of delegation highlighted that the community is eagerly awaiting the complete restoration of normalcy in Kashmir valley, which will pave the way for its dignified and honourable return to its roots.
Enhancement in cash relief that was ordered considering the price rises in the market by none other than PM of India, regarding enhancement in relief to KP, it has not been implemented.
It was urged and requested to consider the enhancement aspect.
PM package being a commendable step towards supporting numerous families in KP community, has proven insufficient. Thousands of KP youths have crossed age limit for employment while big chunk of youths are in mental distress. The Government must announce new comprehensive employment package to facilitate settlement of these employees in Kashmir Valley. It was also brought into notice of Chief Secretary.
Deplorable conditions of temples and Shrines in Kashmir valley needs a serious maintenance with guarantee of no future damages or encroachments, is possible by enactment of law for it by the way of passage of Temples and Shrines Bill as per pattern of Muslim Aquaf Trust or Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
The issue of renovation work in Jagti and other migrant camps must start without any further delay was taken up by members with Chief Secretary.
The CS gave patient hearing to all issues and assured about its redressals.
