J&K Bank opens BU, commissions 5 ATMs

SRINAGAR, June 13: J&K Bank opened one more Business Unit (BU) at village Imoh, Anantnag.
The Bank’s Zonal Head and Vice President Kashmir (South) Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the Business unit in presence of Cluster Head Kashmir (S)-I Tasaduq Ahmad Dar, Head BU Mohammad Yaqoob Wani and a large number of people of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head urged upon the people to avail various deposit and loan schemes, tailored for farmers, apple growers, unemployed educated youth and people engaged in different business activities of trade and services.
The Bank also dedicated state-of-the-art premises to the customers of BU Wanpoh, Anantnag.
Meanwhile, the Bank commissioned 5 more ATMs–4 in district Anantnag and 1 in Shopian.
Acting swiftly after the bank’s ATM at Pahalgam was gutted down along with dozens of shops and few Government buildings in a major fire, the bank commissioned two ATMs on the very next day to avoid any inconvenience caused to the tourists and locals.
The bank also parked its Mobile ATM to provide uninterrupted banking services during the peak tourist season at the scenic spot.
An ATM was commissioned at village Keygam Shopian. Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the ATM in presence of Cluster Head M Shafi Salroo, Head BU Farhat Ahmad besides a large number of customers.
Zonal Head also inaugurated the ATM at Government Maternity and Children Hospital Anantnag jointly with Medical Superintendent of the hospital namely Dr Abdul Majid Mirab amid large number of people, Doctors and other staff members of the hospital. Cluster Head Tassaduq Ahmad was also present.
One more ATM at Laizbal Anantnag was inaugurated by the Zonal Head in presence of Cluster Head Manzoor Attar.
