HR activists demand removal of Director Health

SRINAGAR, June 13: Human Rights activists today censured the Government for not removing Director Health Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, who is accused of sexual assault on a nurse.
The protesters, led by Sheala Rashid Shora, Delhi based rights activist, carrying placards and banners held a protest here and sought justice for the victim and alleged that on the name of investigation and probe, Government is trying to hush up the case.
“It is irony that the accused director and other officers still occupy the chairs. There is ample proof that being in the chair he is interfering in the probe. We demand that he should be removed from his post till probe is completed,” they said.
They appealed the doctors to take cognizance of the matter and raise their voice against this alleged sexual assault issue.
