RAMBAN, June 14: Police today arrested a bootlegger along with 38 pouches of illicit liquor from Makarkote area, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramsoo Police Station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Ramsoo Police Station arrested a bootlegger namely Dara Singh, son of Jaswant Singh of Huchak Ukhral from Makarkote.
During checking, police recovered 38 punches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A case under FIR number 26/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Ramsoo Police Station and investigation started.
Police party headed by SHO Ramsoo Police Station made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Javed Iqbal Mattoo.
