JAMMU, June 19: Police arrested a bootlegger along with 8 pouches of illicit liquor from Balni area, falling under the jurisdiction of Katra Police Station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Katra Police Station arrested a bootlegger namely Kuldeep, son of Gauri Shankar of Sherbad, tehsil Katra, district Reasi late last night.
During checking, police recovered 8 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession, which he was carrying with him to holy town Katra.
A case under relevant Section has been registered against the accused at Katra Police Station and investigation started.
Police party headed by SHO Katra Police Station Sanjeev Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of SP Katra Kulbir Singh.
