SAMBA, June 20: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria State general secretarty JKTF was held at Vijaypur near here today. The speakers of the Forum raised various issues pertaining to the teaching community discussed the burning problems being faced by teaching fraternity.
The main demands highlighted by the leadership are, removal of pay anomalies of master grade i.e. pre revised grade of 6500-200-10100, released of salary grant in favour of teachers/masters under SSA scheme which is pending for the last seven months, grant of earned leave infavour of teaching community for cash-in-leave purpose, holding of DPC twice in a year for promotion as master/headmasters/lecturers etc.
The speakers impressed upon the Govt. to solve the problems of teaching community on urgent basis without any further delay and issue the necessary orders so that the community does not suffer any more. Others who were present in the meeting included Satish Dutta, Dashan Sharma, Gopal Singh, Suraj Balraj Verma, Asha Nand Sharma, Raj Kumar Dubey, Rinku Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria and Pankaj Sharma.
