Sir
This refers to the news item’Ten youths from J&K make it to IAS'(DE,June13 2014).It is heartening to read that ten youths from J&K have brought laurels to our state by cracking the prestigious IAS examination and thus proved that the youth of J&K donot lag behind the youths of the rest of India in talent and ability despite the fact that the facilities and exposure that the youths of other states are exposed to in terms of guidance and coaching facilities are hardly available in our state. It is high time that the Govt. of J& K utilized the services of eminent teachers and professors(retd.and serving) in providing guidance and coaching in various subjects to prepare our young and talented boys and girls to compete for state and national level exams such as IAS, IFS,CDS ,IES etc so that more and more youths from our state can receive knowledge and guidance at affordable fee and crack these exams and make us feel proud of them.
What is most appreciable is the fact that some of the youths hail from backward and farflung areas such as Mendhar,Banihal and other areas. They have, thus, set an example before other youths of our state and proved that hard work never goes unrewarded. It would be in the fitness of things that the State Government should honour them for their spectcular achievement so that others may get inspiration and encouragement and strive hard to record more such singular achievements.
Yours etc….
