SRINAGAR, June 25: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today maintained that the Government is committed to ensure speedy overall development of the State by undertaking different schemes in R&B, PHE, PDD, SMC etc
The Speaker was interacting with officers and people of different areas during his extensive tour of the Eidgah constituency.
Mr. Gul said that the Government has launched several welfare schemes for upliftment and improving the living standards of weaker sections of the society. He sought people’s cooperation for implementing these programmes and policies of the Government on ground.
He inspected pace of progress on several under execution projects, taken up under core sectors for improving basic facilities in the area. He instructed the concerned engineers and officers to ensure use of quality material and judicious utilization of funds for creating durable infrastructure.
Interacting with the people, he assured them that their genuine individual problems and developmental needs would be got redressed from concerned departments as early as possible.
During the tour, the Speaker also addressed series of public meetings in the area. He said that the present Government has given focused attention towards the all-round development of the State adding that keen attention was given to expand education, health, road connectivity, drinking water and power supply facilities in all the regions of the State.
Referring to the developmental works under execution in the area, the Speaker said that the construction work on various developmental works under different sectors is apace and on completion of these projects it will change the developmental scenario of the area.
