KISHTWAR, June 26: Chairing a high level meeting of District and Sectorial Officers of District Kishtwar, MoS for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B, MED, H&UDD, Tourism and Culture Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today asked them to fulfil their duties efficiently and achieve maximum developmental targets so that the general masses of district get full benefits of welfare programmes of the Government.
The Minister took a detailed review of core sectors including PHE, Power, R&B, CAPD and Health. He expressed his deep concern over the slow pace of work in WSS Naigad. The Minister took strong cognizance of slow pace of work on this scheme. He directed the   XEn PHE to start full water lift scheme without any delay as the water crisis is taking serious shape in Kishtwar. Besides this the status of Filtration Plant was also sought, The XEn was directed to procure additional 6 water tankers  and ensure drinking water supply to town and periphery.
Regarding R&B, Minister passed directions to the XEn R&B to immediately start work on bus stand, main market road and other roads of periphery. He also directed ACR to release the compensation amount to affected people in a time bound manner. The Minister directed CAPD Deptt  to ensure ration to whole distt and a deadline of 30th June was fixed in this regard. He also sought details from GREF authorities regarding the work on National Highway and other roads. He asked them to rapair the drains that are leaking and creating problems for the people.  Expressing his concern over the shortage of doctors in Marwah, Warwan and Padder belt the Minister directed the CMO to start recruitment of Doctors immediately. The pending liabilities of payments in MNREGA  of RDD  were also discussed.  The Minister also took review of relocation of electric poles and other works of PDD.
