Bahu-Fort residents protest over shifting of transformer

JAMMU, June 26: Bahu- Fort residents held protest demonstration against the alleged shifting of power transformer from Bahu- Fort Sub Transmission Receiving Station Bahu  Fort to Sub Transmission Receiving Station Nanak Nagar, today.
Protest was led by president Bahu Fort Development Committee, Rajeev Charak in which hundreds of locals assembled outside the Sub Transmission Receiving Station and raised slogan against the move of the Power Development Department (PDD) to shift 10 MVA Transformer . The protesters also burnt the effigy of local MLA, Raman Bhalla for his negligence.
While talking to media personals, Charak said that after protests and demonstrations the department installed this transformer after more than 18 months just few days back in Bhau Fort and now shifting it again to some other area is mockery with the people of Bahu Fort.
Charak also informed that, when he telephonically talk this matter with XEn PDD Shiv Dyal Kotwal, the later informed that higher authouties ordered the shifting of this transformer to Nanak Nagar, where according to the department load is much more.
Charak flayed the role of MLA and said that he only remembers Bahu-Fort dwellers during election and neglects for the development.

Lal Pajgotra, president Sarayara Sabha Bahu Fort, Hardesh Khokhar, Vivek Patiyal, president Mahakalli Shopkeeper Union Bahu Fort Jammu, Ramesh Chander, Krishan Lal Sharma, Lal Chand,  Satish Kumar Fangotra, Rajesh Verma, Sher Singh Khokhar, Vinod Kumar, Novat Ram Khokhar etc.
