REASI, June 27: District Administration inaugurated Tehsil Office Arnas and Camp Office of District Development Commissioner at Mahore.
Tehsil Office Arnas has been made functional as newly created tehsil and construction work of building completed in three months’ time. This would be first administrative unit made functional as apart from construction of Tehsil Office in a short span of time State Government has also posted Tehsildar at Arnas.
District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary accompanied by SSP Vivek Gupta, SDM Mahore Ashwani Khajuria and other senior officers of various departments inaugurated the Tehsil Administrative Complex at Arnas.
Meanwhile, the DDC along with ADM Mahore, ACD Joginder Singh Rai and other officers inaugurated the DC Camp Office at Mahore where officers of various line departments will also be available frequently on rotation basis for hearing public grievances on behalf of the DDC.
Work was also kick-started by the DDC at Dharmari for construction of Revenue Complex by the PWD for which the executing agency has been directed to complete the construction within six months. He also inspected various ongoing works at Arnas, Dharmari and Mahore.
Public meetings were also organised at both the venues and detailed interaction with PRIs as well as district and block level officers. Many public grievances raised in the meetings were redressed by the departments and timeline ensured for a number of public demands
The DDC directed concerned officers for strictly adhering to the timeline of construction of various buildings of health, revenue and other departments and asked the officers to ensure that buildings are made available for newly created administrative units fully functional for better public service delivery.
Later, a review meeting of Departments of Rural Development, Revenue, Forests, PMGY, PWD, PHE, CAPD, I&FC, Health, Census and other sectors was chaired by the DDC where the annual performance of departments was reviewed and proposals for current year annual plan were also discussed.
