Govt contemplating to introduce Rehbar-e-Khuraq scheme: Ramzan

HANDWARA, June 27: The Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan today announced that Rehbar-e-Khuraq scheme will be launched soon in J&K on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem to provide job opportunities to educated youth.
This announcement was made during conference held today at Environmental Hall, Handwara which was organised by ReT Teacher Forum Kupwara.
The Minister said that with the launching of Rehbar-e-Khuraq scheme 16,000 educated youth would be benefitted under the programme across the State, adding that their engagement would help open ration depots at uncovered and far-flung areas of the State. He further added that addressing employment issues of educated youth of the State is the priority agenda of Omar led Coalition Government. In this regard the Government during last five years has launched numerous youth friendly schemes across the State besides steps have also been taken to create other job avenues in public and private sectors, the Minister added.
Describing teacher as a builder of nation, Mr. Ramzan said that teachers play a pivotal role in transformation and reaffirmation of the society, besides strengthening the education system.  He said that Government has decided to provide all the service benefits to the ReT teachers in view of their service and contribution.
He impressed upon the teachers to work with more zeal and dedication so that education system is improved further and assured them that Government will extend all help for resolving their pending genuine demands
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Handwara, District President, ReT Fourm, ReT Teachers and other officers were also present on the occasion.
