SEOA apprises DyCM of their grievances

JAMMU, June 27: A deputation of J&K School Education Officers Associations (SEOA) met Tara Chand, Deputy Chief Minister and apprised him of the grievances confronting the Education Officers (Headmaster cadre) and projected the demands.
They demanded that  all the incharge officers i.e. Headmasters, Principal, ZEOs and equivalent be regularized till date, officers render their service during vacation be treated as non vocational at par with their counterparts, grade of 9300-34800 with grade pay 5400 be given to Headmasters at par with +2 lecturers by removing anomaly, increase in promotional quota of Headquaters from 20% to 50% while promoting as Principal, Change of nomenclature from Headmaster to Principal Secondary School as there is no burden of Government exchequer.
The other demands included that the post of senior Headmasters be increased to 33% at par with +2 Lecturers. Before 30.12.2010 the posts of DEPOs and Deputy CEOs were given to officers, who were promoted from the cadre of Headmaster, the same be restored back and posts of DEPOs and Dy CEOs be given to them who are promoted from Headmaster cadre, new posts of ZEOs be sanctioned to fill up the vacant posts, Vide Government order no 544-Edu of 2006 dated 28.12.2006, 77 officers, the officers from senior Lectures cadre are regularized, but officers from ZEOs cadre are not regularized, thus creating the disparity.
The minister gave a patience hearing and assured the deputationists for early redressal of their grievances in near future.
The executive body comprising of S Paramjit Singh, president, S Kulwant Singh, chief organizer, Ram Pyari, Paramjit Kumar, Sushila Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Himmat Rai, Darshan Kumar, Romesh Chander and  Rafiq Khan were the deputationists who met Deputy Chief Minister.
