NEW DELHI, July 1: Mentha oil prices rose by 0.50 per cent to Rs 749.90 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators created fresh positions, driven by a pick up in demand in the spot market.
Besides, tight supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 3.70, or 0.50 per cent to Rs 749.90 per kg in business turnover of 151 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August contract edged up by Rs 2.60, or 0.34 per cent to Rs 763 per kg in 17 lots.
Analysts said pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly led to the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade. (PTI)
