UDHAMPUR, July 2: On the recommendation of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Pancheri, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur Balbir Singh ordered termination of two Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers and also suspended two officials including Headmaster for dereliction of duties.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Pancheri, Pawan Singh Salathia visited Government Middle School Basnote and while interacting with incharge Headmaster came to know that two newly appointed ReT teachers namely Rashi Charak and Ashu joined the said school on June 16, and June 24, 2014 respectively and they have to report to the Government Primary School Patangar for further duties but they failed to report.
ZEO Pancheri immediately recommended their names for the termination and acting swiftly CEO terminated both the ReT teachers with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, during on spot enquiry at Government Middle School Lalli, ZEO Pancheri came to know that incharge Headmaster of the school Naresh Kumar and ReT teacher Sangeeta Jamwal are not coming to school on regular basis. Naresh Kumar attends school only for 3 to 4 days in a month and has attended the school only for 8 to 9 months from the past nine years of his stay in the school.
ZEO recommended suspension of incharge Headmaster and ReT teacher and CEO Udhampur while taking cognizance suspended both the officials.
