Vikram kick starts development work in Ward No 7

JAMMU, July 5: General secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vikram Malhotra kick started development work related to laying of paver tiles in a lane in Ward No 7, Kanji House, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Malhotra said the work would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.05 lakh. He said that difficulties being faced by people need to be addressed in the shortest possible time but due to unwanted hiccups, the same get delayed leading to resentment among the people.
On this occasion, some residents of the area highlighted supply of unclean drinking water by the PHE Department and presented a sample of the same. They alleged that the PHE Department is supplying dirty water for last some time, which has led to outbreak of diseases among the inhabitants.
Responding to the issue, Malhotra assured the residents that he would take up the issue with the concerned department at the earliest possible.
