JAMMU, July 5: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Ek Sath Rang Mandal presented its 6th play ‘Neel Kanth Ganga-Dhar’ on the life of God Shiva and celebration of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, here at Janipur.
The play written on Stories of ‘Shiva Puran’ was produced and directed by M L Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The program was inaugurated by chief guest Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, State Health Department while VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Vijay Malla, writer, producer and director of IPTA, Romesh Chander, Event Director and RP Amla, former FPA of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting graced the occasion as guest of honor.
The programme commenced with Shiv Satuti and three Ved Mantras and Bhajans of Dr Karan Singh sung by the renowned artists– Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Zulekha Farid, Hem Raj, KK Joshi, MC Kotwal and KL Verma.
The renowned artistes — KL Verma, Raju Bajgal, MC Kotwal, Bodh Raj, KK Joshi, Neelam Gandotra, Gouri Lal, Kamli Devi, Tilak Raj, Hem Raj, Kuldeep Raj and Avtar Kour enthralled the spectators with their spellbound performance.
