JAMMU : A fresh batch of Amarnath pilgrims today left for the holy cave shrine from the Bhagwati Nagar, Yatri Niwas, base camp here.
“A total of 2,479 pilgrims comprising 1,617 males and 684 females, left for the Amarnath cave shrine in a convoy of 78 vehicles including 24 State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses, 29 private and 25 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs),” Police sources said.
The first bus left the base camp at 0410 hours while the last bus left at 0435 hours. (AGENCIES)
