RAJOURI, July 10: Darhal police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested a youth from Kunjwani area of Jammu.
As per police sources, a minor girl hailing from Ujhan Margan village, falling under the jurisdiction of Darhal police station was abducted by a youth.
The parents of the girl reported the matter to police station Darhal and a case under FIR No 55/14 under Section 363 and 109 of RPC was registered and manhunt was launched to recover the girl.
On specific inputs, police team from Darhal police station conducted a raid in a house at Kunjwani area of Jammu and recovered the abducted minor girl.
The kidnapper identified as Khaliq Amin, son of Mohammad Shabir, a resident of village Chowdhary Nar of district Rajouri was also arrested from the spot.
The girl was restored to family members after completing legal-medical formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team headed by SHO Police Station Darhal Sukhdev Raj made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Surjeet Bhagat and SP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi.
