Omar highlights State’s pluralistic ethos

LEH, July 13: Addressing a large gathering of devotees at the concluding function of Kalachakra here today, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah highlighted the pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir and described it essential ingredient of Kashmiriyat.
The Chief Minister welcomed Dalai Lama and devotees from all over the world assembled here to attend the concluding function of Kalachakra-2014 which has been held in the State for the third time.
Omar Abdullah said that the event being observed in the State for third time is remarkable and noteworthy for the State. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is the abode of different faiths, cultures and present cultural diversity living in amity and brotherhood which is the speciality of the State. He underlined the need for strengthening the bonds of amity between various sections of the society.
