Police busts cannabis processing unit

Srinagar, July 14: Police today claimed to have busted a cannabis processing unit concealed in cow shed and recovered large quantity of charas and other contrabands.
A police spokesman said police raided the cowshed of Mohammad Hussain Ganie son of Khazir Mohammad of Poshkreeri.
“During the search of the cowshed police recovered a Charas processing unit where poppy and cannabis powder was produced. The equipment including a straw grinder, motor and one weight measure were seized from the cowshed. Further, police also recovered 15kg charas, 4.6kg poppy grinded straw and 45 kg poppy straw from the shed,” the spokesman said.
The accused however, gave slip to the police party, even as an FIR no 63/014 u/s 8/20 NDPS act has been filed against the accused and launched a manhunt to nab the culprit.
