JAMMU, July 15: A woman hailing from Jagti Nagrota was allegedly kidnapped and gang raped by her friend along with two others here today.
As per police sources, a woman hailing from Jagti Nagrota visited a doctor for medical check-up near Jewel and later called her friend namely Mukesh of Patta Bohri to drop her home.
Her friend reached the spot and instead of dropping the woman at home, took her to Lale-da-Bagh area, where he along with his two other friends gang-raped the woman.
The woman managed to escape from the spot and reported the matter to Nowabad police station.
A case under FIR number 116/14 under Section 363 and 376 RPC has been registered at Nowabad police station against the accused and manhunt has been launched to nab them.
However, no arrest was made when last reports were compiled.
