Despite summer vacations, students continue anti-Israel protests

SRINAGAR, July 15: Even though the Government announced summer vacations in all the educational institutions in the Valley, yet hundreds of students took out rallies in Kashmir University and other places to protests the Israel bombing of native Palestinians in Gaza.
Hundreds of students in the Kashmir University gathered inside campus and started protests against Israeli bombings on Gaza, Palestine that left more than 180 civilians dead and hundreds injured.
Eyewitness said after Zuhur prayers hundreds of students from different departments marched around the premises before dispersing peacefully and chanted anti-Israel slogans.
Similarly, students in hundreds carried out a peaceful protest in south Kashmir Anantnag town against the atrocities on the people of Gaza by Israeli Defense Forces.
Students shouted anti-Israel slogans and castigated world authorities particularly Muslim countries for their silence over the issue.
Hundreds of students of IITM Hyderpora took a protest march from their institute to Press Enclave here before noon. The protesters raised slogans against Israel and later dispersed peacefully.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani called for protests against Israeli aggression in Palestine.
Protests also took place in North Kashmir’s Palhalan Pattan after holding protests against Israel aggression on Palestinians.
Protests also took place in Sopore town where protesters after Zuhur prayers.
Hundreds of medics and paramedics also held anti-Israel rally.
Medic and paramedic staff at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical sciences, Bemina Tuesday afternoon came out of the hospital premises with placards and banners.
They raised anti-Israel, anti-Zionism slogans and appealed world authorities to stop the crisis in Gaza.
