JAMMU, July 17: Former MP and senior vice-president of JKPCC Janak Raj Gupta inaugurated the special water supply pipeline in St Peter Catholic Church Prem Nagar, Mohalla Christian Colony and in Christian Grave Yard W No 7, here today.
The inauguration function was organized by the All India Masih Seva Dal under the chairmanship of Father Verky Priest of Catholic Church Prem Nagar. The chief guest of the function was Janak Raj Gupta while Nicodemes, vice chairman AIMSD, was guest of honour and Shoukat Peter – chief patron AIMSD and president of Priests of Joint Church Fellowship, Jammu, was the special invitee.
Janak Raj Gupta helped in getting funds of Rs 5.40 lakh released for Catholic Church Prem Nagar and Christian Grave Yard W.No. 7. They gathering also appreciated the Minister for PHE Sham Lal Sharma, Chief Engineer PHE and AEE Ashwani Khajuria City Division No. 1, Jammu. who took personal interest in initiating the work.
On the occasion, demand was made  to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for two percent reservation to the community in Government jobs. Reservation of one MLA seat and one MLC seat in the State Legislature were also demanded.
The All India Masih Seva Dal demanded  that a separate Christian Colony be set up and  J&K Minority Commission be revived with inclusion of at least one member from the community in the Minority Commission.
Others, who were present on the occasion, included  Issac Bhatti – Chairman AIMSD, Inderyas Jamal- vice chairman AIMSD, Retd SSP Bhupinder Singh,  Deedar Singh – president JKTUC,  Kirtan Singh, Parshotam Mehra, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Ved Parkash Bhagat, Titus Gill,  Rohit George, Rinku Gill, Camres David (Babbloo),  different Churches priests, Masih Seva Dal members and Christian youth.
