JAMMU, July 19: Nitco Logistics Private Limited, the Jammu based Logistics and Transportation Company celebrated its golden anniversary in a function at Jammu Club, here today.
The company started in July 1964 with one truck and two offices at Srinagar and Jammu, has spread all over the country in its 50 years.
The Company presently has over 1000 trucks on road at over 400 locations nation-wide.
The offices of the Company across the country from Leh to Madurai and Guwahati to Mumbai are all fully computerized.
Nitco is providing employment to over 1000 souls of this region, many of whom are working in different branches allover the country.
Nitco since its inception has supported the cause of women empowerment by providing employment to ladies in all the disciplines, even at a time when ladies were not encouraged to work. More than 60 percent of staff working in its Head Office at Jammu comprises ladies.
The Managing Director of the Company has extended his greetings and thanks to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to thousands of loyal customers without whose help the Company would not have flourished.
Over 250 delegates from different parts of the country were present to attend the golden jubilee function.
Prizes and mementoes were distributed among the top performers of the Company.
