POONCH, July 14: The police arrested three absconders who were wanted in different cases and evading arrest since long.
A police spokesman said that one Bharat Singh, son of Raghunath Singh of Pallanwalla (Akhnoor) who was wanted by Mendhar police under case FIR No. 117 of 1997, U/S 406/420/ 120-B RPC, was arrested last night.
Another accused Abdul Rehman, son of Fazal Mohd of Gohlad in Mendhar was evading arrest since 2001 in case FIR No. 19 under Section 306 RPC. Qamar Shahban, son of Maqbool Hussain, resident of Mankote in Mendhar tehsil was also wanted in case FIR No. 31/ 2003, U/S 279/337 RPC by Mendhar police. All three had been declared as absconders by the local court. They were produced in the court of law.
