JAMMU, July 23: The Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with field staff, conducted a special drive on the eve of Amarnath Yatra & Ramzan, covering areas of from Gangyal, Kunjwani, Satwari, Bhagwati Nagar, Talab Khatikan area.
During the drive 70 qtls of milk was checked and about two qtl of milk which was found adulterated was destroyed in Tawi river and fine to the tune of Rs. 5500 has been realized from the defaulters.
The drive will remain continue in near future against all the food establishments / milk shopkeepers running in the market are strictly warned and directed to ensure the supply of good quality milk and milk products to the citizens of Jammu city.
