JAMMU, July 14: The vehicular traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained disrupted for over three hours this afternoon following landslide near Seri in Ramban district.
Reports said that due to heavy rainfall landslide took place at Seri in Ramban district leading to blockade of the highway at around 3 pm. Though the Border Roads Organization (BRO) immediately pressed its men and machinery into service to remove the debris yet the restoration work was repeatedly hampered by the incessant rains.
It was only after improvement in the weather conditions that highway was made traffic worthy at around 6.30 pm and all the stranded vehicles from both the sides were allowed to proceed towards their respective destinations.
