This has reference to country wide tributes paid to Kargil martyrs on July 26 which is observed as Vijay Diwas,
The real tribute to these soldiers would be to re-dedicate our lives to the cause of country and work for maintaining communal harmony among people.
Besides, it is necessary that we work for welfare of soldiers families. It was distressing to learn from media that the families of the martyrs have to run from pillar to post to get their grievances redressed. The families generally accuse bureaucrats for being quite callous towards them. Many families have a woeful tale to tell.
The Ministry of Defence and the political parties in the country are requested not to make the martyrs’ families suffer in getting what is due to them.
The callous attitude towards soldiers would dissuade young people from joining and rank file of the army.
