BHADERWAH, July 15: After concluding the weeklong tour of Bhaderwah Assembly segment, former Minister and sitting legislator, Mohd Sharief Niaz has expressed anguish over the slow pace of work on the Bhaderwah-Basohli road, here today.
He said the road was undertaken by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) decades ago, adding that the organization has failed to complete the said stretch, which is the matter of great concern.
Niaz further said that the Doda-Bhaderwah road too is in shambles and despite repeated reminders and requests no attention is being paid by the concerned authorities.
Lashing out on the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, he said the people who are facing the problem of water scarcity have been left on the mercy of the God as no scheme is being implemented in a proper way.
Meanwhile, during his visit, the MLA chaired a meeting of NRHM, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme at Sub- District Hospital in Bhaderwah and directed the doctors to implement the scheme in letter and spirit to help poor and downtrodden to get the benefit.
The MLA also inaugurated Seri Bridge and GR Azad Memorial Football Tournament during his weeklong visit.
