RAMNAGAR, Aug 1: Harshdev Singh NPP chairman and MLA Ramnagar has strongly flayed the Health Department for acute deficiency of doctors and Para medical staff in SDH Ramnagar besides other PHCs, Dispensaries and Health Centres of Ramnagar constituency.
Singh lambasted the Health Department authorities in particular for transferring even the meager staff which was earlier posted in SDH Ramnagar without providing any substitutes. He said that it was most shocking and utterly distressing to note that remote and far flung area health institutions in Ramnagar had virtually become defunct due to the non availability of desired medical staff.
Warning the Health Deptartment to take immediate note of the emergent situation created in Ramnagar, failing which the people would be forced to observe complete shutdown besides taking to other agitational means. He demanded filling up of all vacant posts of doctors by holding fresh recruitments against available vacancies.
Urging upon the Health Minister to address the health related issues on priority, he condemned the attitude of Health Department in posting more than 75% of the newly appointed doctors in Kashmir region to the utter neglect and deprivation of Jammu region.
