RAJOURI, Aug 1: A team of Excise range, Rajouri led by Dr Sajad Majid, Inspector Excise arrested three persons and destroyed 550 kg lahan and recovered 120 litres liquor, today.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Salam Din Chowdhary, Excise and Taxation Officer, Rajouri-Poonch range. The team conducted series of raids at village Muradpur, Rajal, Bahnoti, Narain, Patrara, Lam, Langer and Nowshera areas of Rajouri district. They destroyed 550 kg of lahan on the spot and seized 120 lt illicit liquor.
The arrested persons were identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Sita Ram of Grati, Gurmeet Singh, son of Soudagar Singh of Muradpur and Vishal Sharma, son of Babu Ram, resident of Phali.
The raids were conducted under the direct supervision and directions of Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu.
