SRINAGAR, Aug 2: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today inaugurated Employment Fair at Madre-e-Meherban Stadium, Palpora, Eidgah. The fair was organized by District Employment & Counseling Centre.
The officers of line departments and banks participated in the fair and provided vital information about various employment generating schemes to the educated unemployment youth. The educated unemployment youth showed great enthusiasm towards the various schemes launched by the Government from time to time.
The Speaker emphasized on the unemployment youth to come forward and avail the benefits of schemes which are meant for their betterment. He also directed the Director Employment to register the names of unemployed youth on-the- spot and call them individually for counselling so that the youth feel easy to take up the schemes of their choice under his able guidance.
Mr. Gul asked the unemployed youth not to hanker after the Government jobs, saying that it is difficult for Government to provide job to every educated youth. He asked them for establishing own entrepreneurs and become job providers instead of job seekers, adding that it would go a long way in ameliorating their socio-economic profile and make adequate contribution in the development of entire state.
Referring to provision of medicare facilities in the area, the Speaker sad that Maternity & Childcare Hospital (MCH), Noorabagh is the first and the best Maternity & Childcare Hospital in the Shehar-e- Khas, besides Primary Health Centre at Sangam and palpora medical dispensary is also functional in the area.
The Deputy Director Employment, Srinagar also highlighted various schemes meant for the educated unemployment youth.
