JAMMU, Aug 6: Non-Gazetted Agriculture Graduates Association (NGAGA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Pardeep Sharma.
In the meeting, it was resolved that liquidation of present recruitment rule of AEO’s 80:20 to 50:50 shall not be tolerated and accepted because the amendments sought by NGAGA in the year 2007 was not overnight but after a long striving attitude and support of members of the association.
The amendment was sought on the ground that stagnation in the agricultural graduate cadre was long standing forcing the cadre to remain at the place of entry level even after completion of more than 20-25 years of serve, in the year 2007. The sense of stagnation was apprised to the Government and it was decided that under these circumstances repealing of 50:50 was mandatory to abrogate the long stagnation in the cadre and the amendment under Government order number 433 dates 28.12.2007 was issued (80:20).
In this context, a resolution has been passed in the meeting of the association wherein it is urged upon the Government not to bring change in the present already amended recruitment rule for recruitment of AEOs and equivalent.
A deputation of the association also met Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affars Mir Saif-Ullah. The delegation submitted memorandum and apprised the Minister about the ground realities forcing the JAEO community to come on roads for their genuine demands and rights.
The Minister gave patient hearing and assured that there shall be in no way any distortion and discrimination with the JAEO community and care shall be taken while restructuring/ reorganization of the department without disturbing the present status of proportion i.e 80:20 at any level. The Minister also assured that the matter shall be taken up with the Minister concerned for corrective measures.
