JAMMU, Aug 8: In order to reach public, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has established its camp office at Gole Gujral.
The office has been constructed on land retrieved from the encroachers on the orders of State High Court. The JDA has contemplated to open such offices at Bhalwal, Birpur and Nagrota so that people can have easy access.
The camp office was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu in the presence of Vice-Chairperson of JDA, Sushma Chauhan, R K Shavan, Regional Director, Land Records and Surveys, Sher Singh, ACR Jammu, Chief Town Planner, Director Land Management and Chief Khilafwarzi Officer.
In a handout, VC JDA said that efforts are being made to make every process transparent in the organization and such offices will have round the clock availability of staff to ensure that proper vigil is maintained to ensure that assets of JDA are protected.
She said that purpose of such camp offices is multifold as the officials of Khilafwarzi, Engineering Wing of JDA will remain available for close monitoring and easy access. These offices will contain complaint and suggestion boxes and public can put their complaints and other grievances to Vice-Chairperson from their nearest places instead of visiting head office.
It is pertinent to mention here that JDA has advertized plots for allotment at Gole also and people can be facilitated to get any information from the camp office.
