KATHUA, Aug 9: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Bani, Anwar Bandey on directions of Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, conducted surprise inspection of various Government offices across tehsil Bani and 17 officials found absent from duty were placed under suspension with immediate effect.
The team headed by SDM Bani comprised of Tehsildar and other officers carried out inspections of more than 25 offices, anagwanwadi centres and schools in the area and found 17 officials absent from duty without any permission or sanctioned leave. Accordingly, all the 17 officials were placed under suspension by the SDM.
These include 2 Senior Assistant and 1 Supervisor of ICDS Block Bani, 2 FMPHW and 1 Class IV employee of Health block. Computer Assistant and Computer Operator of BDO Office Duggan, 1 Master and 5 Teachers of Duggan Zone, a PET and AE PHE Bani. The suspension order was confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, has directed Addl DC, SDMs, Tehsildars and BDOs to carry out frequent inspection of Government offices, institutions and centres to ensure discipline and accountability among officials. All officers have been directed to maintain their movement register and tour diaries.
