JKLTF deputation meets DSE Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 9: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (JKLTF) led by Balwan Singh Jamwal today met newly appointed Director School Education (DSE), Jammu in his office chamber and put forth the demands and burning issues of the teaching fraternity.
The deputation apprised the director regarding burning issues of the teachers in the present scenario and putforth a charter of demands  for an early redressal.
The members of deputation condemned the present scenario created by the authorities in transfer and adjustments in the department and demanded the Director to restore untimely, undue and premature transfers of the staff on the directions of vested interests.
They demanded framing of fool proof transfer norms and strict adherence to them by the department. The deputation members also demanded filling up of all vacant posts of teachers, masters, lecturers and non-teaching staff in educational institutions.
The deputation also demanded leave encashment for teachers in lieu of their non-availed leave, grant of senior teacher grade to trained under graduate teachers, timely release of salary grants and allotment of funds for leave encashment, gratuity etc.
The deputation laid special emphasis on transfer policy, leave encashment, removal of pay anomalies of masters, timely release of salary grants and filling of vacant posts in schools.
The director assured the deputation of an early redressal of their demands.
MR Sharma, Sudershan Sharma, CL Sharma, PK Gupta, Rakesh Kalgotra, Om Parkash, Jaseen Ahmed, Jagdeep Singh, ML Sharma, Suresh Kumar, YP Choudhary, Satya Bushan, Dinesh Singh and Jyoti Parkash were part of the deputation.
