Vikar lays foundation of additional school building

RAMBAN, Aug 9:      Minister of State for Technical Education, Information, Social Welfare, CAPD and Rural Development, Vikar Rasool Wani today laid foundation stone of additional accommodation for Govt High School Checknarwah Banihal to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.49.17 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Government was committed to upgrade the infrastructural facilities in the rural and far-flung areas for the facilities of the rural masses. He said the Government has focused on key sectors like health, education, drinking water, power and social welfare to improve the overall profile of the people. He said the Government has been pursuing a well-knit agenda of all round development in all essential sectors and massive development has been ensured during the past over five years.
Urging the people to come forward to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes, the Minister said that several people friendly schemes have been launched by the State Government and people must reap their benefits. He asked them to maintain close liaison with the administration and get educated with the features of these schemes.
Regarding employment, the Minister advised the unemployed youth to avail benefits of self-employment schemes which have been launched by the Central as well as State Governments. He said youth should take up the self-financed units with the help of banks which have special instructions to finance locally viable income generating units with minimum formalities. The finance also include handsome portion of subsidy component. He said Government jobs are limited and youth must give priority to the private sector. The youth with higher education must go for market-oriented trainings so that they become eligible for joining in the industrial based companies in other parts of the country.
