JAMMU, Aug 12: The Border Security Force (BSF) and police today destroyed three more live mortar shells in forward village of Jabowal in Arnia sector, which had been fired by the Rangers on the intervening night of August 10 and 11.
Reports said the villagers spotted three live mortar shells lying in a field at Jabowal and informed police.
The police teams headed by SHO Arnia Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Later, BSF and police Bomb Disposal Squad destroyed all three mortar shells safely.
Yesterday, the Squad had destroyed five live mortar shells at forward village of Treva in Arnia sector.
