NEW DELHI, Aug 14: In range-bound movements, gold prices fell marginally by 0.08 per cent to Rs 28,669 per 10 gram in futures trade today as participants trimmed positions in line with a weak trend in overseas markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October month contracts eased by Rs 19, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 28,669 per 10 gram in business turnover of 246 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month December shed Rs 12, or 0.04 per cent, to Rs 28,719 per 10 gram in four lots.
Market analysts said a weakening trend in the overseas markets mainly put pressure on gold prices at futures trade here.
Globally, gold fell 68 cents to USD 1,312.24 an ounce in Singapore. (PTI)
