Copper trades higher on pick-up in demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 16:  Copper prices edged higher by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries mainly led to the rise in copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 428 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 110-116, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,090-1,096, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 428, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 107, Lead imported 105, Aluminium ingots 159, Aluminium sheet cutting 160, Aluminium wire scrap 162 and Aluminium utensils scrap 159. (PTI)
