JAMMU, Aug 18: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, R S Chib today paid a visit to the Pak firing affected border villages of Suchetgarh sector Bidipur Jattan of Jammu.
While visiting Kaloen, Korotana Khurd, Basti, Jattan, Abdullian, Chanduchak  and Dera villages adjoining the Indo-Pak International Border, Chib said that panic has gripped in these areas due to unprovoked Pakistani heavy shelling.
Criticizing Pakistan for creating mess at IB, R S Chib said that Government of India has to take stern action against Pakistan and also urged Central Government to give a clear message to Pakistan to stop firing on bordering villages and civil areas along IB.
After listening the problems of bordering villagers erupted due to Pakistani firing, while addressing the local residents, Chib said that he will also talk to the State Government regarding the unscheduled power cuts in the bordering belts, which has increased the problems of these people.
However, Chib welcomed the stand of Central Government for calling off the secretary level talks with Pakistan due to cross border firing and continue ceasefire violations.
Chib was accompanied by SP HQ Randhir Singh. He also met with the BSF personnel and officials on the border and saluted them for the brave job they are doing.
