JAMMU, Aug 18: Rehber-e-Ziraats (ReZs) under the chairmanship of State president of Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA) Dr Surinder Radotra took out ‘Insaaf Rally’ against discrimination with agriculture technocrats of Jammu division.
Dejected and frustrated over the apathetic and discriminatory attitude of the State Government, hundreds of ReZs of Jammu Division assembled outside Press Club and took out ‘Insaaf Rally’.
Members of various political, non-political, social and other organizations also participated in the rally and discussed the issue of discrimination with the ReZs of Jammu division.
Dr Surinder Radotra while speaking said that if the Ministers and MLAs of Jammu division cannot address these type of simple cases of discrimination against the people of Jammu region then they have no right to claim what they do to be.
“The people of Jammu do not need the Ministers for inaugurations of lanes and drains or for the construction of the same”, he added.
“We expect them to fight for the honour of the region failing which they should quit. We need the complete end to the Kashmiri political hegemony”, he stated.
During the rally, it was unanimously declared by the leaders of the political parties that if the State Government did not take positive initiative to publish the regularization list of ReZs of Jammu division within week, then whole of the Jammu division will unite and give a complete Jammu bandh call.
Vinod Sharma, Chairman of the Association appealed that the Chief Minister should intervene to sort this issue at the earliest.
