NEW DELHI : The Supreme Court today issued notice to state of Rajasthan on a bail petition filed by self-proclaimed godman Asaram in a sexual assault case. Justices T S Thakur and Bhanumathi also directed the state government to produce the medical report of the accused prepared by the medical board constituted by the state authority. The apex court refused to accept the medical certificate issued by a private doctor.
Asaram, in jail for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is seeking bail on medical ground. (UNI)
